Equatora Capital
A blended financing solution for sustainable value chain
Our Goal
The impact investing market in Indonesia remains fragmented, hindering progress in environmental conservation, poverty alleviation, and support for entrepreneurs.
Our main objective is to bridge this gap and create development opportunities in these crucial areas. We achieve this by offering alternative financing options to Sustainable Business Entities (SBEs) operating within or impacting jurisdictional areas. By utilizing downstreaming, we enhance the value of potential products, increasing their economic worth. This approach contributes to forest conservation by reducing the need for further land exploitation.
Through our efforts, we seek to attract mainstream investors, nature-based solutions companies, and stakeholders who share our vision for positive change. We are dedicated to driving sustainable development, removing economical barriers of local communities, and making alternative nature-based asset classes in Indonesia’s investment landscape.
Our Approach to Impact Investing
Our approach starts by originating a more sustainable and scalable portfolio of Nature-based Solutions companies, designed to attract mainstream investors. We recognize the challenges posed by the high costs of investment and post-investment management on the ground, and we have positioned ourselves to streamline this process.
Our engagement with Nature-based Solution companies focus on building crucial internal governance needed to scale responsibly, such as projecting nature and socially accountable business growth, setting the durable management systems, and operational excellence.
We believe that suitable pathways to scale, achieved through a combination of hands-on investing and appropriate funding instruments, hold the key to success.
Through our comprehensive approach of financing, hands-on investing, and advisory services, our aim is to foster equitable distribution of economic growth in Indonesia. We are dedicated to promoting inclusive development that benefits not only businesses but also the communities in the vicinity. By providing financial support, investing in promising enterprises, and offering immediate hands-on approach, we strive to improve livelihoods and create a sustainable environment for all stakeholders involved. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to a thriving economy that uplifts local communities, fosters social well-being, and preserves the natural environment for future generations.
